Restaurant Hummus at Home

I tried a similar hummus at a Mediterranean cafe once and it was a revelation! I love the chunks of fresh tomatoes and cucumbers, the bite of fresh parsley and the tang of feta. This loaded hummus recipe takes things even farther with salty olives and pepperoncini peppers. You won’t believe how much flavor there is!

Tip: Get to Know the Pepperoncini Pepper

What’s a Pepperonicini pepper? They’re very mild, a little sweet chili peppers that often come pickled in a jar. Sometimes they’re called sweet Italian peppers, or golden Greek peppers. But they’re always delicious!

Are they the same as banana peppers? Nope! Pepperoncinis are rounded at the end, instead of pointed. Which is a good way to tell the difference!

Store Bought or DIY

You can add these toppings to store bought hummus or your own homemade version. I highly recommend homemade! My homemade hummus recipe is so quick to make in a food processor. It stores great in the freezer for months, so you can always have it on hand.
