Simply Adorable

Easter is already full of sweet treats from the egg hunts and all the desserts, so I wanted to create a special treat that’s healthy to balance it all out. And this Easter Bunny Snack Board is such a simple way to serve a nutritious snack or appetizer for the Easter holiday. And so, so cute!

A Fun Activity for the Family

I first created this bunny-shaped veggie and hummus board in early March 2020 so I could share the inspiration with y’all well before Easter. Back then, we still had plans to spend Easter with our families up in Oklahoma. We enjoyed it as a side dish with dinner that night and we all gobbled it up. So fresh and delicious! And even though we’re no longer going to Oklahoma to celebrate the day with our extended family, we’re still looking forward to recreating this board as a family to enjoy here at home on Easter Sunday and for years to come!

It’s so easy to create and would be such a fun activity to do as a family. A plate of hummus is garnished to look like the bunny’s face and surrounded by a variety of fresh veggies with crackers shaped to look like the bunny’s ears. Every bunny is sure to enjoy it!

How to Make an Easter Bunny Snack Board

  • Decorate the bunny’s hummus face with two olives for the eyes, a cherry tomato for the nose, olive fourths to create the mouth shape, and asparagus spears for the whiskers.
  • Arrange half the pita crackers for one of the bunny’s ears and the other half for the other ear, leaving a hole in the center of each ear to put the red pepper slices. Fill each bunny ear with red pepper slices.

  1. I made this as an appetizer for our family Easter meal. It was easy and everyone loved the attempt. While it didn’t look terrible, mine sort of looked like the the Easter Bunny after a rough night out drinking. LOL. Made for some good laughs and tasty eats! 🙂

    1. Hi Tina! We love raw asparagus! We just trim the ends off. You could certainly blanch or steam it if you prefer it a little cooked. Enjoy!
