This Hummus Pasta Salad is the easiest, most deliciously healthy pasta salad you will ever make and that everyone will love!
Fresh and Fabulous
Six simple ingredients and just 20 minutes are all it takes to make this Hummus Pasta Salad. Creamy hummus, al dente pasta, fresh veggies, tangy feta and chicken add up to one great meal. Enjoy it for dinner or make ahead to keep in the fridge for lunches throughout the week. It’s light, healthy, fresh and fabulous!
Here’s to Happy Accidents!
This pasta dish happened by accident one night when we were craving mac & cheese and didn’t have any cheese on hand. Oops! I already had the pasta boiling, so I opened the fridge in search of something to save dinner and still be delicious. A big tub of garlic hummus (which we love!) caught my eye so I started scooping spoonfuls into the warm cooked pasta. As I was stirring it in and it was melting to coat the pasta, I knew I was creating something great!
The hummus coats the pasta so well, making it light and creamy and oh so flavorful. I had some chicken, cucumber, tomatoes and feta already on hand, so I just tossed those in for a tasty Greek twist and in just 20 minutes, we were devouring a winner of a dinner! Delicious!

This recipe is SUPER YUMMY! To reduce carbs, I used 1/2 LB of pasta and doubled the fresh veggies- adding diced orange bell pepper, red onion, fresh basil and a splash of lime juice. I would 100% serve this pasta salad at a luncheon or shower- with or without the chicken depending on what else is on the menu. It quickly disappeared, so I am using the remaining portion of cooked pasta to make another batch for this holiday weekend. OUTSTANDING! Thanks so much.

Recipe is somewhat dry. Any suggestions for an ingredient to add moisture?
Hi Norma! It certainly depends on which hummus you use. The creamier the hummus, the creamier the pasta. I would recommend adding olive oil until of desired creaminess. Hope this helps and that you get to try it again soon!
[…] ever considered before but it makes so much sense! It’s a perfect lunch-the-next day and this recipe is a cracker. I like the inclusion of whole wheat pasta and cooked chicken for a protein boost. […]
