Golden, toasty garlic bread meets pepperoni pizza in these Cheesy Garlic Pizza Sliders. Hawaiian rolls brushed with garlic butter, sprinkled with parmesan cheese and baked to perfection with melted mozzarella, pepperoni, and pizza sauce. Each bite is so savory and satisfying! They make the perfect after school or game day snack or a midweek dinner when things are busy.

Pizza Flavor, Slider Fun

I have so much fun getting creative with pizza recipes! I’m all about the baked pizza taquitos that make for a filling snack for hungry kiddos, a sheet pan pizza for the most versatile dinner, and easy, quick pizza toast that answers a pizza craving in minutes. These pizza sliders are also super convenient, definitely tasty, and so easy to customize with your favorite toppings, I just know you’re going to love them.

I use pepperoni, but feel free to switch things up with your favorites. Black olives, chopped bell pepper, or pre-cooked crumbled Italian sausage – the options are endless. And the result is a garlic bread shell filled with melty pizza filling. You can’t go wrong!

Make it a Meal

Dinner doesn’t have to be complicated, especially during the week when schedules get hectic. That’s when these little pizza sliders come in handy! Pair these two-bite beauties with a dinner salad or a green vegetable and you have an easy dinner that doesn’t require a bunch of effort or clean up!

Ingredients and Supplies

(see recipe card at the bottom of this post for measurements and details)

Ingredients:

  • King’s Hawaiian rolls: create a tender pull-apart base that balances the savory pizza flavors. You can substitute another 12-count package of soft slider rolls or dinner rolls, if needed.
  • Pizza sauce: adds the classic tomato flavor and seasoning that makes the sliders taste like pizza. You can substitute with a jarred marinara sauce or this homemade marinara sauce works great too.
  • Shredded mozzarella cheese: gives the sliders their gooey, melty cheese layers and helps hold the filling together. You can substitute shredded provolone, Monterey Jack, an Italian cheese blend, or a combination of your favorite melting cheeses.
  • Pepperoni: adds a savory, slightly spicy pizza flavor and makes the sliders more filling. You can substitute turkey pepperoni, cooked Italian sausage, sliced salami, or your favorite pizza toppings.
  • Unsalted butter (melted): helps the tops of the rolls become rich, flavorful, and golden as they bake. You can substitute salted butter and reduce the garlic salt slightly to keep the topping from becoming too salty.
  • Garlic salt: seasons the butter topping with savory garlic flavor and just the right amount of salt. You can substitute garlic powder plus a pinch of salt, adjusting both to taste.
  • Dried Italian seasoning: adds an herby blend of flavors that reinforces the classic pizza taste. You can substitute dried oregano, dried basil, or a combination of the two.
  • Grated parmesan cheese: adds a salty, nutty finish and helps create a flavorful golden topping on the rolls. You can substitute grated Pecorino Romano or another finely grated hard Italian cheese.

Storage

Sliders are best enjoyed right after baking, but they can be stored and reheated. Let the sliders cool completely, then store them in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3–4 days.

Reheat the sliders in a 300°F oven, covered loosely with foil, for about 8–10 minutes or until warmed through and the cheese is melty. For a crispier top, uncover them for the last few minutes.

For a single slider, microwave for about 20–30 seconds or until heated through, though the rolls will be softer than when reheated in the oven.
