We’ve been making tortilla pizzas for years and don’t let a Valentine’s Day go by without making up a batch of heart-shaped tortilla pizzas. And these ghosts are just so fun and yummy, I know the kids will go crazy for them at our Halloween party.

Ingredients and Supplies
(see recipe card at the bottom of this post for measurements and details)
Ingredients:
- Street taco size soft flour tortillas: create a thin, crisp base for the pizzas and are easy to cut into cute ghost shapes. Street taco-size corn tortillas can work for a crispier crust, but they may be more prone to cracking when cut.
- Sliced mozzarella cheese: melts beautifully over the tortillas and gives the ghosts their classic white color and cheesy pizza flavor. Provolone or another mild, good-melting white cheese can be used instead.
- Round black olive slices: create the ghosts’ eyes and mouths while adding a mild, salty flavor. Mini pepperoni can be used for the faces if you don’t care about keeping the features black.
- Prepared pizza or marina sauce (for serving): adds classic pizza flavor and makes a tasty dip for the crispy, cheesy ghosts.
Supplies:

How to Make Ghost Shaped Tortilla Pizzas
- Preheat the oven to 400°F. Line a sheet pan with parchment paper.
- Cut each tortilla into a ghost shape with a 3.5-inch ghost-shaped cookie cutter. Place the ghost-shaped tortillas on the prepared baking sheet and bake for 5-8 minutes until they start to lightly brown and crisp around the edges. Remove them from the oven.

- While the tortillas are baking, cut slices of mozzarella cheese with the same ghost-shaped cookie cutter you used to cut the tortillas.
- Once the ghost-shaped tortillas have baked, place a slice of ghost-shaped mozzarella cheese onto each tortilla.

- Then add 2 black olive slices for the eyes and 1 black olive slice for the mouth

- Return the topped tortillas to the oven and bake for about 5 minutes or until the cheese is bubbly and starting to turn light brown in spots. If the cheese melts beyond the edges, use a small spatula or butter knife to gently push it back into the ghost shape while it’s still warm.
- Serve with pizza or marinara sauce for dipping.

Storage and Reheating
- Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to five days. Reheat in a 350°F oven on the middle rack for 5 minutes or until heated through.
