5 Spooky Cute Halloween Treats

Kids (and kids at heart!) will love these Spooky Cute Halloween Treats. They’re so delicious and adorable! And I love that they’re a little bit more healthy than your traditional Halloween offerings. Salty peanut butter crackers and pretzels, and sweet fresh fresh fruits like bananas, strawberries and kiwi all wearing their most frightening Halloween faces. So much fun flavor and texture to make your Halloween even more festive!

Don’t get me wrong. I LOVE Halloween goodies (even the occasional candy corn!). But I also like to serve something healthy for people to snack on at our Halloween parties. So I created these five fun, fresh snacks made from every day ingredients that I picked up at my local Kroger. These fabulous treats as tasty as they are fun to make and eat!

  • Banana Ghosts –  banana halves with chocolate chip eyes and mouth
  • Strawberry Ghosts – strawberries dipped in vanilla candy coating with chocolate chip eyes and mouth
  • Frankenstein Kiwi Pops – mini popsicle sticks pushed into kiwi slices decorated with melted chocolate and candy eyes
  • Peanut Butter Cracker Spiders – crackers with creamy peanut butter and pretzel sticks with raisin eyes
  • Mummy Pretzels – pretzel twists drizzled with melted candy coating and candy eyes

What do I need to make 5 Spooky Cute Halloween Treats?

  • Bananas
  • Strawberries

  • Mini Pretzel Twists
  • Pretzel Sticks
  • Creamy Peanut Butter

How to Make Banana Ghosts

  • First, peel a banana and cut it in half crosswise.
  • Then press the top of two mini chocolate chips into the side of each banana half for the eyes and then
  • Finally, press the top of a regular-size chocolate chip below the eyes for the mouth.

How to Make Strawberry Ghosts

  • First, melt chocolate according to package directions.
  • Then pour melted chocolate into a cup or deep serving bowl.
  • Next, dip each strawberry into candy coating and let excess drip off before placing on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
  • Finally, immediately press two mini chocolate chips in the candy coating for the eyes and one mini chocolate chip for the mouth. Let set completely before enjoying.

How to Make Frankenstein Kiwi Pops

  • First, peel and slice the kiwi into ¾ inch rounds. Lay in an even layer on a paper towel to dry so the chocolate will stick to the kiwi. If needed, pat the kiwi slices with a paper towel to dry completely.
  • Then melt chocolate chips in a microwave safe bowl in 30 second intervals, stirring between each interval, until completely melted.  Place the melted chocolate chips into a resealable baggie and cut a small piece off of the corners to squeeze the chocolate out of
  • Insert a mini popsicle stick into the bottom of the kiwi slice.
  • Next, drizzle chocolate at the top of the kiwi slices for the hair and draw lines near the bottom for the mouths.
  • Immediately press the top of two white chocolate chips into the chocolate drizzle for the eyes.
  • Then dip the bottom of two mini chocolate chips into the melted chocolate and place them on top of the white chocolate chip to complete the eyes.
  • Let set completely before enjoying.

How to Make Peanut Butter Cracker Spiders

  • First, spread peanut butter onto the bottom of two snack crackers.
  • Then break four pretzel sticks in half and press four of the halves into each side of the peanut butter on one of the crackers so they’re sticking out to create the spider legs.
  • Place the second cracker peanut butter side down on top of the pretzel sticks.
  • Finally, spread a dot of peanut butter on the bottom of two raisins and press them on the top of the cracker spider for the eyes.

How to Make Mummy Pretzels

  • First, place a cooling rack on a baking sheet and spray with non-stick cooking spray.
  • Then melt the candy coating according to package directions.
  • Next, place a mini pretzel twist flat on a fork. Use another fork to drizzle the candy coating onto the pretzel.
  • Place the drizzled pretzel on the prepared cooling rack.
  • Then immediately press two candy eyeballs into the candy coating on each pretzel for the eyes. Let set completely before enjoying.

Banana Ghosts 

  • Bananas
  • Mini Chocolate Chips
  • Semi-Sweet Chocolate Chips

Strawberry Ghosts

Instructions

Banana Ghosts 

  1. Peel a banana and cut it in half crosswise.
