What Do I Need to Make an Olympics Chips and Dip Board?
(see recipe card for measurements and details)
- Blueberry Salsa (see recipe)
- Black bean dip
- Store-bought or Easy Homemade Salsa
- Store-bought or The Best Blender Guacamole
- Queso
- Tostitos Scoops!
- Fritos Scoops!
- Ridge Cut Potato Chips
- Restaurant Style Tortilla Chips
- Sun Chips, Original Flavor
- Flaxseed Tortilla Chips
Blueberry Salsa:
- Fresh blueberries
- Fresh jalapeno
- Red onion
- Garlic clove
- Lime
How to Build the Olympics Chips and Dips Tray
First, make the blueberry salsa (see the recipe below). If not serving store-bought, make the salsa and guacamole. Heat the queso according to the package directions. If desired, warm the black bean dip.
Blueberry Salsa:
In a small mixing bowl, gently stir together the following ingredients:
- 1 cup fresh blueberries, quartered
- 1 tablespoon minced fresh jalapeño
- 2 tablespoons diced red onion
- 1 clove garlic, minced
- 2 tablespoons fresh lime juice
Once stirred together, salt to taste with kosher salt. The flavors in this delicious dip come together better if allowed to chill, covered, in the refrigerator for about 30 minutes. But it tastes great either way!
To build the tray, first place the dips in five small bowls. Then arrange them in the middle of a rectangular galvanized serving tray or rimmed baking sheet according to the colors of the Olympic Rings: blue, black, red, yellow, and green.
- Finally, surround the arranged dip bowls with a variety of chips. Serve and enjoy! Tip: I gave specific chips and dips in this post but use a variety of your favorites and the ones your guests would enjoy the most!
This tray is just perfect if you’re hosting an Olympics watching party. I love that it’s so family-friendly and crowd-pleasing. I hope you enjoy!
