How to Build the Olympics Chips and Dips Tray

First, make the blueberry salsa (see the recipe below). If not serving store-bought, make the salsa and guacamole. Heat the queso according to the package directions. If desired, warm the black bean dip.

Blueberry Salsa:

In a small mixing bowl, gently stir together the following ingredients:

  • 1 cup fresh blueberries, quartered
  • 1 tablespoon minced fresh jalapeño
  • 2 tablespoons diced red onion
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons fresh lime juice

Once stirred together, salt to taste with kosher salt. The flavors in this delicious dip come together better if allowed to chill, covered, in the refrigerator for about 30 minutes. But it tastes great either way!

To build the tray, first place the dips in five small bowls. Then arrange them in the middle of a rectangular galvanized serving tray or rimmed baking sheet according to the colors of the Olympic Rings: blue, black, red, yellow, and green.
