Storage

For the best appearance and texture, enjoy them within 24 hours. Strawberries naturally release moisture in the refrigerator, so after a few days the candy coating may begin to sweat or soften, and the blue decorating sugar may bleed slightly into the white coating.

To store leftovers, let the candy coating harden completely. Then place the coated strawberries in a single layer on a platter or in a container lined with a paper towel to absorb excess moisture. Cover loosely before refrigerating to help prevent excess moisture from softening the coating. Enjoy within 2 days.

I don’t recommend freezing them as frozen strawberries become mushy as they thaw, causing the candy coating to crack and separate.
