This Zesty Lemonade Cocktail is a refreshing cocktail, perfect for summer sipping! Vodka, lemon juice, chile liqueur, limoncello, simple syrup all come together in a perfectly sweetened and slightly spiced drink. It’s great to make for one or a crowd.
One of the things I love most about Brandon is that when he does something, he does it exquisitely, especially when it comes to food and drinks. The man can cocktail craft like a pro and I consider myself pretty darn lucky to be the first to reap the amazingness.

There’s so much fun to be had creating and enjoying great cocktails with each other and friends. And lately, we’ve become pretty particular. If I’m going to drink a cocktail, I want it to be great! I don’t want some overly sweet pre-made mix in it. I want a well-balanced and thoughtfully-crafted cocktail that I literally ooh and aah over as I drink it or I’m sending it back.

This lemonade cocktail is one of the most refreshing drinks I’ve ever had. So perfect for summer sipping! Although I have to say we have a hard time just slowly sipping this cocktail because it’s soooo good! Whether we’re sipping it by the pool or on the porch, it’s fresh and oh so satisfying.

What Do I Need to Make a Zesty Lemonade Cocktail?
(see recipe card for measurements and details)
- Vodka
- Lemon juice
- Chile liqueur (such as Ancho Reyes Chile Liqueur)
- Limoncello
- 1:1 simple syrup
- Sparkling water (we use Topo Chico or Pellegrino)
How to Make a Zesty Lemonade Cocktail
- Place all ingredients except sparkling water into a cocktail shaker or our favorite, a boston shaker. Add ice and shake well. Strain into a tall glass with ice already in it.
- Top with sparkling water based on desired strength, 1 ounce for stronger drink or 2-3 ounces for lighter. Garnish with lemon slices, if desired.

Ingredients
- 1.5 ounces vodka
- 1.0 ounce lemon juice
- 0.75 ounce chile liqueur (such as Ancho Reyes Chile Liqueur)
- 0.5 ounce limoncello
- 0.5 ounce 1:1 simple syrup
- Sparkling water (we use Topo Chico)
Instructions
- Place all ingredients except sparkling water into a cocktail shaker. Add ice and shake well. Strain into a tall glass with ice already in it.
- Top with sparkling water based on desired strength, 1 ounce for stronger drink or 2-3 ounces for lighter. Garnish with lemon slices, if desired.
Is that a roasted/grilled/other lemon slice?
Hi Christina! It was roasted/dehydrated in the oven. Place a baking rack on a baking sheet and spray the baking rack with non-stick cooking spray. Arrange thin slices of lemon on the rack and bake at 275 degrees for about 45 minutes.
