Burger, Only Better
During grilling season, these family-favorite Turkey Burgers make it into the rotation on a pretty regular basis. Turkey is a bit leaner than than your traditional burger, if that’s what you’re after. And they’re also great if you’re just trying to cut down on the amount of beef you eat. But also? They’re really, really yummy. Perfectly seasoned ground turkey grilled to perfection and served with my favorite baked sweet potato fries — it’s a summer meal that’s easy, satisfying and fun to enjoy with family.

What Do I Need to Make Turkey Burgers?
Shredded Gruyere, garlic and Dijon mustard make these turkey burgers so flavorful and moist. And you’ll love the subtle crunch of green onion throughout. It’s a fantastic change from your summer’s grilled burgers. Give ’em a shot – you won’t regret it! You’ll need:
- Ground turkey
- Gruyere cheese, shredded
- Green onions
- Dried breadcrumbs
- Dijon mustard
- Garlic, minced
- Kosher salt and freshly-cracked black pepper

How to Make Grilled Turkey Burgers
- Heat grill to medium-high. In a large mixing bowl, use a fork to gently combine turkey with grated cheese, sliced green onion, breadcrumbs, Dijon mustard and minced garlic.
- Season generously with salt and freshly-cracked black pepper.
- Gently form mixture into ten (3 ounce) patties.
- Lightly oil heated grill. Place patties on hottest part of the grill; sear until browned, 1‐2 minutes per side. Move the patties to cooler part of grill; continue grilling until cooked through, 5‐10 minutes per side. Internal temperature of burgers should be 165 degrees.

How to Serve Turkey Burgers
I love to serve turkey burgers on a seeded or multi-grain bun with melted Swiss cheese. Top with sliced red onion, arugula, tomato, Dijon mustard or mayo and serve alongside baked sweet potato fries. Enjoy!!

- 4 green onions, thinly sliced
- 1/3 cup dried breadcrumbs
- 1/3 cup Dijon mustard
