Not every recipe I test for a new cookbook actually makes it into the finished product. It’s so hard to choose which make the cut because they’re all so delicious! Kinda like choosing a favorite child! Kids, if you’re reading this, I love you all the same. I swear. Anyway, take these Three Spectacular Milkshakes. They were meant to be featured on the Blend Your Own Milkshake Spread of my new cookbook. But delicious as they are, they didn’t make the cut. But you know me, I’ll never leave a dessert behind! So here they are.

Choose from Cookies and Cream – a classic flavor combination that never misses, S’mores – a cool twist on my favorite hot treat or PB&J – a yummy and refreshing take on your childhood favorite. Or, you don’t, don’t choose! Make all three and sample your way to splendor! The ingredients are simple and the process is so easy, I bet you’ll make these Three Spectacular Milkshakes again and again.

Cookies and Cream Milkshake

To make this classic flavor combination, place ice cream and milk in the blender. Blend until smooth. Add the crushed Oreos and blend for about 5 seconds until incorporated throughout. Pour the milkshake into a sprinkle rimmed glass and garnish with Oreo crumbles and a maraschino cherry, if desired.

S’mores Milkshake

To make this cool twist on a hot treat, place ice cream and milk in the blender. Blend until smooth. Stir in the broken graham crackers pieces and mini marshmallows. Pour into a graham cracker rimmed glass and swirl in the chocolate syrup with a long spoon. Garnish with graham cracker crumbs, mini marshmallows, a snack-size Hershey’s chocolate bar and a graham cracker piece.

PB&J Milkshake

For this yummy take on your childhood lunchtime favorite, place ice cream, milk and peanut butter in the blender. Blend until smooth. Pour the strawberry syrup down into the milkshake glass, if desired, and then pour the milkshake into the glass. Top with whipped topping, a peanut butter drizzle and a pretzel piece.

Choose your own cool with Three Spectacular Milkshakes. A classic flavor combination, a cool twist on a hot treat, and a tasty take on a childhood favorite–you’ll surely find a new favorite!


Ingredients

Cookies & Cream Milkshake (serves 1):

  • 3 scoops vanilla ice cream (1 cup total)
  • 2 tablespoons milk
  • 3 tablespoons broken Oreos pieces
  • Rainbow sprinkles, for garnishing
  • Maraschino cherry, for garnishing

S’mores Milkshake (serves 1):

  • 3 scoops chocolate ice cream (1 cup total)
  • 2 tablespoons milk
  • 1 tablespoon crushed graham crackers, plus more for garnishing
  • 10 mini marshmallows, plus more for garnishing
  • 1 tablespoon chocolate syrup
  • 1 snack size Hershey’s chocolate bar

PB&J Milkshake (serves 1):

  • 3 scoops strawberry ice cream (1 cup total)
  • 2 tablespoons milk
  • 1 tablespoon peanut butter, plus more for garnishing
  • 1 tablespoon strawberry sundae syrup, if desired
  • Whipped topping, for garnishing
  • Peanut butter drizzle, for garnishing
  • Pretzel piece, for garnishing

Instructions

Cookies & Cream Milkshake:

  1. Place ice cream and milk in the blender and blend until smooth.
  2. Add the crushed Oreos and blend for about 5 seconds until incorporated throughout.
  3. Pour the milkshake into a sprinkle rimmed glass (see notes) and garnish with Oreo crumbles and a maraschino cherry, if desired.

S’mores Milkshake:

  1. Place ice cream and milk in the blender and blend until smooth.
  2. Stir in the broken graham crackers pieces and mini marshmallows.
  3. Pour into a graham cracker rimmed glass and swirl in the chocolate syrup with a long spoon. Garnish with graham cracker crumbs, mini marshmallows, a snack-size Hershey’s chocolate bar and a graham cracker piece.

PB&J Milkshake:

  1. Place ice cream, milk and peanut butter in the blender and blend until smooth.
  2. Pour the strawberry syrup down into the milkshake glass, if desired, and then pour the milkshake into the glass.
  3. Top with whipped topping, a peanut butter drizzle and a pretzel piece.

Notes

Optionally, before serving, press the rim of your serving glass in melted chocolate and immediately roll the rim in sprinkles. Let set until cool. Once cooled, fill, serve and enjoy!
