Long Reign the Blizzard Queen!

I know I’ve told y’all this story before. But just in case you missed it, I’ll take you on a trip down memory lane. For two years when I was in high school, I was on a Blizzard-a-Day Diet. With a driver’s license and an unquenchable love for ice cream, I visited the DQ drive-thru every single day. Ah, teenage metabolisms, right?! And, since it was small town Oklahoma and the rules were maybe a bit lax back then so sometimes, I brought my own mix-ins. And every once in a while, they even let me come behind the counter and make my own Blizzard. Crazy, right? Good times, y’all.

While my trips to the drive-thru are far less frequent, I still get my Blizzard fix on the regular. We create some tasty concoctions at home, but this might be one of my all-time favorites. Mini marshmallows, chocolate chunks, and graham cracker crumbs blended with ice cream–the texture and flavor are incredible. I can’t wait to share it with y’all!

How to Make a Homemade S’mores Blizzard

First, prep your ingredients by chopping the chocolate into small pieces. Halve mini-marshmallows and crush graham cracker into large crumbs. Then place the ice cream in the bowl of your electric mixer and beat on low just until smooth, but still thick. Add the chopped chocolate, marshmallow bits and graham cracker crumbs. Stir until just combined.

Optionally, before serving, press the rim of your serving glasses in melted Hershey’s chocolate bars and immediately roll the rim in graham cracker crumbs. Let set until cool. Once cooled, fill, serve and enjoy! A fun detail to an extra special treat!
