  • Star crackers
  • Plain yogurt
  • Honey
  • Lemon juice

How to Make a Fourth of July Coleslaw

  • First, wash and prep the berries. Lay the blueberries on a paper towel to dry. Quarter the strawberries and set aside to dry.
  • To make the coleslaw dressing, whisk the yogurt, honey and lemon juice together in a large mixing bowl. Add the coleslaw mix to the bowl and toss until coated evenly.
  • Spread the coleslaw in an even layer on a rectangular platter.
  • To create the flag pattern, begin by placing a row of strawberries along the bottom of the coleslaw covered platter, followed by a row of crumbled feta.
  • Fill the top left corner with blueberries. Finish the stripes with another row of strawberries, a row of slivered almonds and one last row of strawberries.
  • To make the blueberry balsamic drizzle, whisk the wild blueberry preserves, olive oil and balsamic vinegar together in a small bowl.
  • Drizzle the arranged platter of Star-Spangled Slaw with about 1 tablespoon of the blueberry balsamic drizzle. Fill a small jar with the remaining drizzle.
