Have a Ball (or Two!) This Summer

I created this Loaded Peanut Butter Popcorn Ball recipe a few years ago as part of my Summer Picnic Snack Tray. But they’re so delicious, they deserve their own post. My kids love to join in the fun rolling the mixture into uniform balls. It’s the best kind of messy fun you can have! And of course, they love eating them!

Loaded Peanut Butter Popcorn Balls Ingredients and Supplies

(see recipe card at the bottom of this post for measurements and details)

Ingredients:

  • Popped popcorn
  • Roasted peanuts
  • Light corn syrup
  • Granulated sugar
  • Peanut butter – creamy or crunchy works great!
  • Reese’s Pieces candies, frozen*
  • Mini chocolate peanut butter cups, frozen* – I love using the mini milk chocolate peanut butter cups from Trader Joe’s. If you can’t find the mini peanut butter cups, you can chop up regular peanut butter cups and freeze them before mixing them into the popcorn mixture.
  • Peanut butter baking chips, frozen* – you can find these on the baking aisle of most grocery stores. If you can’t find the peanut butter baking chips, you can just omit this mix-in or use chocolate chips or butterscotch chips as a substitute.
