Chocolate Peanut Butter Fanatic

It would be fair to say that when it comes to chocolate and peanut butter, I don’t really have an off switch. It’s my absolute favorite. Whether it’s a cool and creamy Chocolate Peanut Butter Ice Cream Pie, or Peanut Butter Chocolate Chip Cookie Bars, or Chocolate Peanut Butter Cream Puffs, I’ve made it and loved every bite. The list is endless.

These no-bake treats are the easiest, dreamiest combination of creamy peanut butter and crunchy chocolate cereal. All held together by delicious marshmallow. I just know you’re going to love them, too!

Ingredients to make chocolate peanut butter Rice Krispies treats in small glass dishes on a white marble counter.

How to Make Chocolate Peanut Butter Rice Krispies Treats

  • Spray an 8-inch square baking dish with non-stick cooking spray and line with parchment paper. Set aside.
  • In a medium saucepan over low heat, melt 2 tablespoons butter and 1 cup peanut butter.
  • Add 4 cups of the miniature marshmallows and stir continuously until completely melted.

  • Remove from heat and immediately stir in the 4 cups of cereal until well combined.
  • Fold in the remaining 1 cup miniature marshmallows until distributed and swirled throughout.

  • Using more parchment paper, press mixture evenly into the prepared baking dish.
  • Barely melt the remaining 2 tablespoons of peanut butter until of drizzling consistency and then drizzle over the top of the cereal mixture.
  • Let set at room temperature until completely cooled and firm. Lift treats from the baking dish and use a sharp knife to cut into squares.

Storage

Store no-bake marshmallow treats in an airtight container, with parchment paper between each layer, at room temperature for up to 5 days.

  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 1 cup creamy peanut butter, plus 2 tablespoons more for drizzling on top
  • 1 (10 ounce) bag mini marshmallows (about 5 cups), divided
  • 4 cups Cocoa Krispies cereal

Instructions

  1. Spray an 8-inch square baking dish with non-stick cooking spray and line with parchment paper. Set aside.
  2. In a medium saucepan over low heat, melt 2 tablespoons butter and 1 cup peanut butter. Add 4 cups of the miniature marshmallows and stir continuously until completely melted.
  3. Remove from heat and immediately stir in the 4 cups of cereal until well combined. Fold in the remaining 1 cup miniature marshmallows until distributed and swirled throughout.
