What Do I Need to Make Peanut Butter Chocolate Chip Cookie Bars

  • Unsalted butter, softened
  • Creamy peanut butter
  • Granulated sugar
  • Dark brown sugar
  • Eggs
  • Vanilla extract
  • All-purpose flour
  • Baking soda
  • Kosher salt
  • Semi-sweet chocolate chips

How to Make Peanut Butter Chocolate Chip Cookie Bars

  • Preheat oven to 350°F. Spray an 18×13-inch sheet pan with non-stick cooking spray and line the bottom with parchment paper. Set aside.
  • In the bowl of an electric mixer fitted with the paddle attachment, beat the butter and peanut butter until smooth.
  • Add both sugars and beat until well combined. Beat in the eggs and vanilla.

  • With the mixer on low speed, beat in the flour, baking soda and salt until just combined. Stir in the chocolate chips.
  • Spread cookie dough evenly into prepared sheet pan. Garnish with more chocolate chips.

How to Store Peanut Butter Chocolate Chip Cookie Bars

To store cookie bars, you can either leave them in the sheet pan covered tightly with plastic wrap or place them in an airtight container on the counter for up to five days. 

To freeze cookie bars, place cookies in a freezer safe bag with a sheet of parchment between each square. For extra freezer burn protection, place the baggie in a freezer safe container before freezing. 

Thaw loosely covered at room temp for several hours before serving.
