Watch Me Make a Pull-Apart Cinnamon Roll Heart
Step into the kitchen with me to make the Pull-Apart Cinnamon Roll Heart with Strawberry Icing that’s featured in the Galentine’s Brunch spread on page 165 of my Spectacular Spreads cookbook. I use the regular-sized canned cinnamon rolls and strawberry jam to flavor the canned icing for this festive version.
Bake and Serve in Less than 30 Minutes
This version of my Pull-Apart Cinnamon Roll Heart comes together so easily with canned jumbo cinnamon rolls made mini. You can have this Pull-Apart Cinnamon Roll Heart ready to serve in less than 30 minutes. Let me show you just how easy it is.

Need to Make it Smaller?
You could make it smaller by cutting a smaller heart shape out of the parchment paper and only using 5 jumbo cinnamon rolls OR make it bigger by cutting a larger heart shape out of the parchment paper and using 15 jumbo cinnamon rolls to make mini cinnamon rolls and form the heart shape.

Ingredients and Supplies
(see recipe card at the bottom of this post for measurements and details)
Ingredients:
- Canned Grands! Cinnamon Rolls (10 rolls total)
- Icing, from the cinnamon roll cans
- Valentine’s themed sprinkles
Supplies

How to Make a Pull-Apart Cinnamon Roll Heart
- Preheat the oven to 350°F.
- To make the heart shape, cut a heart out of a sheet of parchment paper that is about 10×8-inches in measurement and place it on a baking sheet that is large enough to fit the heart-shaped parchment paper.
- On a large cutting board, unroll each cinnamon roll and cut it into four equal-sized strips, each about 4 inches long.
- Reroll each smaller strip of dough back up into a tight cinnamon roll shape. You should have 40 mini cinnamon rolls.

- Arrange the mini cinnamon rolls close to each other over the heart-shaped parchment paper on the sheet pan.
- Bake for 18-20 minutes, rotating pan halfway through the baking time, until the tops of each roll are golden.
- Remove from the oven and drizzle the icing over the heart shape. Use a spreader to spread the icing and cover the heart completely.

- Decorate with festive Valentine’s sprinkles. I do a layer of red sanding/sparkling sugar followed by a Valentine’s jimmies mix.
- Serve warm and enjoy!

Storage
Leftover cinnamon rolls can be stored covered at room temperature for up to 2 days or in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 4 days.
Reheat individual rolls for about 15-20 seconds in the microwave or cover rolls loosely with foil and reheat in a 300°F oven for about 5 minutes until warmed through.

I’ve never seen frozen cinnamon rolls by me. Can you give an example of a brand or two to look for in the stores?
Hi Cheri! I used Sister Schubert’s brand, but you could also use Rhodes Frozen Cinnamon Rolls or RoRo’s Frozen Cinnamon Rolls. I hope this helps and that you enjoy!
