Snuggle up for a great flick and some tasty snacks. This Valentine’s Day Movie Night Snack Board mixes it up with the sweet, the salty, and the sour for a fun night spent snacking and watching sappy movies.

I go big on Valentine’s Day. I mean, big. From breakfast to bedtime, I spend the day spoiling my family with food. Heart-shaped pancakes, which you can find instructions for on my Valentine’s Day Pancake Board post and heart-shaped bacon for breakfast. A big family dinner. Lots of sweets in between. It honestly makes me giddy.

This year, after dinner, we plan on hunkering down with the kids for a movie marathon of our favorite cheesy, love-filled flicks. So I created this Valentine’s Day Movie Night Snack Board to add even more fun and yum to our night! Building the board was so much fun and the kids loved helping (and helping themselves). Seriously, how cute are these little faces?

Let’s Dish!

You’ll notice I use a lot of heart dishes on my Valentine’s boards. Here are some of my favorites you can find on Amazon:

Pick the Flicks!

I’m excited to snuggle down with my kiddos and watch some mushy movies! I forget how many great sappy movies are out there! With the world of streaming media at our fingertips, the choices seem endless. I narrowed it down to a few choice favorites, though. I’ll probably have the kids paper-rock-scissors to see who chooses the first movie! Here’s our list (what’s on yours?):

  • Be My Valentine, Charlie Brown
  • Lady & The Tramp
  • Little Rascals
  • The Princess and The Frog
  • Beauty and the Beast
  • Sleeping Beauty
  • Shrek

How to Build the Valentine’s Movie Night Snack Board

As boards go, this one is so simple and so flexible. Start by arranging four heart-shaped bowls on a 16″ x 11″ serving tray. Fill the larger heart bowls with Sweetheart Pop Organic Popcorn. Next, fill one of the smaller heart bowls with the Jelly Belly Valentine’s Mix and the other with a mix of M&M’s Cupid’s Mix Milk Chocolates and M&M’s Valentine’s Day Peanut Chocolates.

Then, fill in the tray with Valentine-inspired treats such as:

These are just some of our favorites. Feel free to use some of your personal favorites.

Finally, set out your favorite family-night games, or just a simple game of Valentine’s Bingo or Tic Tac Toe and cue up your favorite love-filled movie.

Serve and enjoy!
