These bite-sized beauties are made from cheese, sausage and pantry staples–no Bisquick needed. And they’re in and out of the oven in about 30 minutes. They really could not be easier or faster to make. Dip them in store-bought honey mustard or your favorite dipping sauce, for an appetizer everyone will reach for again and again!
What Do I Need to Make Easy Cheesy Sausage Balls?
- Ground pork sausage
- All-purpose flour
- Baking powder
- Paprika
- Kosher salt
- Freshly ground black pepper
- Shredded medium cheddar cheese
- Unsalted butter, melted
- medium (2 Tbsp) cookie scoop
- Honey mustard, for dipping (or your favorite dipping sauce)
- Stand mixer
- Parchment paper
- Baking sheet
How to Make Easy Cheesy Sausage Balls
- Preheat the oven to 350°F. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In the bowl of a stand mixer fitted with the paddle attachment, mix together all the ingredients except the melted butter until well combined.
- Using a cookie scoop or your hands to form the mixture into 24 (2-tablespoon size) balls and place them about 1 inch apart on the prepared baking sheet.
- Brush the tops of the balls with the melted butter.
- Bake until golden brown and the pork is no longer pink, about 20 to 25 minutes.

How to Serve and Store Sausage Balls
Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to three to four days. To freeze, allow to cool completely and then store in a freezer safe bag or container for up to one month.
To reheat from refrigerator: place on a baking sheet on middle rack of oven at 350°F for 5-10 minutes until heated through. You could also reheat them for 20-30 seconds in the microwave but they won’t be crisp on the outside!
To reheat from frozen: place on a baking sheet on the middle rack of the oven at 350°F for 10-15 minutes or until heated through.
