- Carefully remove the donut waffle from the waffle iron with a fork or tongs.

- Repeat as necessary with remaining donuts. Keep warm in a 200 degree oven until serving.

How to Store Donut Waffles
To store leftover donut waffles, place them in a sealed container in the fridge for up to five days.
To freeze, allow waffles to cool completely. Then place in a freezer-safe container or in individual freezer-safe baggies. Store in the freezer for up to two months.
To reheat: When ready to eat, place donut waffles in a single layer on a microwave-safe plate and microwave for about 20 seconds (30 seconds from frozen) or until heated through. Or reheat un-iced waffles in the oven at 300°F for about 5 minutes (10 minutes from frozen) until heated through.

Sorry, but this was the worst idea ever! It didn’t come out the way I expected, not crispy at all and soggy in the middle. And the sugar from the glazed donut formed an epoxy on my waffle iron that took forever to clean.
Hi Donna! Oh no, I’m so surprised as they turn out perfect for us each time we make them. What kind of waffle iron did you use? Did you spray your waffle iron with cooking spray before each donut? Are you sure your waffle iron heated correctly? How long did you leave the donut in the waffle maker? I can’t imagine how so much went wrong as we make these very often with leftover donuts and they have never done what you’re describing.
