Make it a Delicious Galentine’s Day

Of course, I make a big deal over Valentine’s Day with my husband and the kids. But I also love celebrating the holiday with my girlfriends, toasting to our friendship. In the past, we snacked on a Galantine’s Board (featuring heart-shaped dark chocolate fudge sprinkled with sea salt!). My Galentine’s Day Dessert Board or a Valentine’s Chocolate Fondue Board make the top of the list as well. They are a sweet tooth’s dream!

I truly enjoyed turning my Signature Board into another way to nibble your way through the holiday. The pink, red and white bring a festive touch to all the delicious treats.

Make it Your Own

My goal with cheese and charcuterie boards is always to make sure you have fun while building boards for your friends and loved ones. You can follow each step exactly, or make your own creation! If you can’t find a specific ingredient, it’s no big deal. As always, use what you can find. It’s sure to be a delicious experience for everyone!

The Original Signature Board

I created my (often copied, never duplicated!) Signature Board back in 2020 to help make your board building experience effortless and enjoyable! It’s engraved with a guide you can easily follow to build the perfect cheese and charcuterie board. Well, now you can use the engraved side for serving a classic charcuterie board, my Halloween Signature Board, my Fall Signature Board, a festive Santa Signature Board or this adorable Valentine’s board. You can even flip it over and use the other side to serve anything you like!

How to Make a Valentine’s Day Signature Board

  • Make the Love Letter Brie: Slice the brie wheel in half horizontally while it’s still cold. Spread about 1/4 cup of strawberry preserves on the bottom half. Place the top half back on. Spoon the remaining preserves into a piping bag or plastic bag with the corner snipped off. Pipe a triangle shape near the top center of the brie (this will be the envelope “flap”). Then, pipe two diagonal lines starting just above the point of the triangle, extending down toward the lower sides of the brie. This will complete the envelope outline. Place a small, 1-inch heart-shaped strawberry cutout at the center of the brie to “seal” the envelope.
  • Set the love letter brie on a small plate and place it in the round cheese space on the board.
  • Fill each mini bowl with one of the following and place them on the board in their designated spots:pomegranate seeds, pepper jelly, strawberry yogurt almonds, and strawberry preserves.
  • Place the cranberry Wensleydale wedge in the upper left.
  • Make 3 salami roses using 8 slices of applewood smoked salami each. Fold the slices around the rim of a small glass or shot glass, overlapping to form petals. Flip and place them onto the board.
  • Nestle the Tête de Moine rosettes inside and around the salami roses. Tuck basil leaves into the bouquet to look like flowers.
  • Place the Genoa salami slices on the lower left corner of the board. Cut provolone slices into hearts using a 1.5-inch cookie cutter. Layer over the Genoa salami slices in the lower left.
  • Fold prosciutto into loose ribbons and fan it out just above the brie for a soft floral effect.
  • Tuck in two small bunches of red grapes where labeled.
  • Place beet & seed crackers in the top right, cranberry seed crackers in the bottom center, and heart-shaped crackers down the middle section.
  • Add pink yogurt pretzels to the top section. Place heart-shaped gummies near the bottom. Fill in with dried cherries, raspberries, and apple slices.
  • Tuck in chocolate-covered strawberries for extra Valentine charm!
  • Add additional fresh basil leaves around the meat bouquets and prosciutto to give it a beautiful, blooming look.
  • Serve with cheese knives and spreaders. Enjoy!

Make Ahead Tips

It shouldn’t take more than 15-20 minutes to build this board if everything is already prepped ahead of time. Here are some prep ahead tips:

  • Cut cheese hearts 1–2 days in advance and keep in an airtight container in the fridge.
  • Wash and fully dry grapes and raspberries and separate pomegranate seeds ahead of time so they’re ready to place. Pomegranate seeds can last several days in an airtight container in the refrigerator.
  • Dip the strawberries ahead of time. Chocolate dipped strawberries can be stored in the refrigerator for 2-3 in the refrigerator.
  • Pre-portion crackers, pretzels, and candies to make final assembly quicker.
  • You can assemble most of the board a few hours ahead (except for crackers and other crunchy items) and wrap it tightly in plastic wrap. Keep refrigerated until just before serving, then add all the crunchy elements so they stay fresh and crisp.
  • NOTE: The salami will loose some of its brightness over time. So if you want the roses to pop, I would suggest making them just before serving.
