Special Memories, Amazing Food

The holiday season is here and I have a feeling we’re all looking forward to creating special memories at home with our loved ones. From movie night to an afternoon of board games to cozy fireside chats, a grazing board covered in a delicious selection of cheeses, meats and nibbles is the perfect addition.

This is one my favorite grazing boards because it includes such a great variety of snacks to satisfy everyone. All of the ingredients on this beautiful board can be found at your local Albertsons Companies store. From the Primo Taglio Double Cream Brie Wheel to the O Organics Vanilla Animal Cookies, it’s got the most amazing variety of savory to sweet and creamy to crunchy snacks that are so fun to munch on. The adults will appreciate the gourmet cheeses and meats while the kiddos will go giddy over the mini cookies and cinnamon almond butter to dip their apples in.

My family enjoys everything about this board. It’s easy to shop for, easy to build and so fun to snack on. It’s covered in our go-to selection of Albertson’s exclusive products so we usually have most of them on hand to quickly build a board with and start snacking on. Everything is so tasty that we usually have to pace ourselves so we don’t devour it all too fast. I find my products in my area exclusively at my local Albertsons and Tom Thumb, but you can find them at a Albertsons Companies store near you, including Safeway, Shaw’s, Star Market, Randalls, ACME Markets, JewelOsco, Vons, Pavilions, United Supermarkets and Carrs/Safeway.

The beauty of this board is that it comes together quickly which means more time with your loved ones. All of the ingredients can easily be added to your online cart for Drive Up & Go™ anddelivery or conveniently found in the store with a shopping list in hand. See below of a detailed shopping list with links to easily add these items to your holiday shopping cart…

Like I said, a lot of these products are everyday staples in our refrigerator and pantry. They’re affordable and of such great quality. Once you try them, you’ll want to keep them handy to regularly snack on and build yummy boards with.

Let me walk you through step-by-step how to build this beauty of a board so that you can easily recreate it for your family to enjoy over the holidays! Our 18″ x 12″ walnut wood board is the perfect size to build this board on. A board this size is great for a snack or appetizer that will feed and satisfy 6-8 people.

How to Make the Ultimate Holiday Grazing Board

  • Start by placing the tabouli hummus in a small serving bowl on the top right of the board.
  • Place the cinnamon almond butter in a small serving bowl on the bottom right of the board.
  • Put the strawberry fruit spread in small serving bowl on the bottom left of the board, the honey in a small serving bowl in the middle of the board and the olives in a small serving bowl on the top left of the board.

  • Place the brie cheese wheel on the middle left of the board and the aged gouda on the middle right of the board. Slice half of the aged white cheddar into thin slices and place them on the top left corner of the board. Crumble the other half of the aged white cheddar into chunks and place them to the right of the hummus bowl. Fan the cheddar cheese cracker cuts around the strawberry fruit spread bowl at the bottom of the board.
  • Roll each slice of prosciutto and stack them on the right side of the board, just above the gouda cheese. Fold the salami slices and place them together between the olive bowl and the honey bowl in the middle of the board. Place the grapes just below the honey bowl on the board.
  • Stack about seven pita crackers below the gouda cheese. Layer the remaining pita crackers in the upper right corner of the board, above the tabouli hummus bowl. Arrange the flatbread crackers below the brie cheese wheel.

  • Break up the dark chocolate bar and place the chocolate pieces to the left of the strawberry fruit spread.
  • Slice the apple into thin slices and place them on the bottom of the board below the cinnamon almond butter and on the top of the board above the olives.
  • Slice a small wedge from the brie cheese wheel and then garnish the wheel with a sprig of fresh rosemary.
  • Drizzle the tabouli hummus with olive oil and sprinkle with minced fresh rosemary.

Here are the supplies I used to bring this board together:

The Ultimate Holiday Grazing Board by The BakerMama

Serve the board with a bottle of Signature RESERVE™ Chardonnay Wine or Signature RESERVE™ Pinot Noir Wine and some O Organics® 100% Apple Juice for the kids.

The Signature RESERVE™ Chardonnay Wine shows beautiful aromas of layered stone fruit, crisp Fuji apple, Bartlett pear, honeysuckle and subtle vanilla bean. On the palate, vibrant flavors of apricot, pineapple, peach, pear and sweet tangerine. A crisp, clean finish with a final wash of vivacious natural acidity.

The Signature RESERVE™ Pinot Noir Wine aromas of ripe cherry and dark cola on the nose lead into a generous palate filled with flavors of strawberry, cranberry and plum. The fresh fruit flavors are balanced by subtle underlying notes of damp earth, oak and a touch of vanilla. The medium grain tannins combine with bright acidity to give this wine structure and a refined freshness on the palate.

Notes

Cheeses are best served at room temperature, so be sure they set out of the refrigerator for about 30 minutes before you serve the board.

To clean your wood board after using, simply rinse with warm water and scrub with a mild dish soap. Do not submerge your wood board in water. Dry immediately with a towel and prop to dry completely before storing away. Treat your board every 3 months with food-safe mineral oil and wax (or more often if it starts to look rough or dry) to keep your board looking beautiful.

  1. This is a question, not a comment. I swear I saw somewhere on your website a page that talked about your favorite combinations ie, blueberry sauce with brie and prosciutto; mustard with london broil on a specific cracker etc. But now for the life of me I cannot find it. Can you direct me to the recipe post that gives some of your favorite combination examples? Thanks!

    1. Hi Carly! I don’t have these on my blog, but I do have them in my Beautiful Boards cookbook with the Date Night Board. I share our favorite cheese, meat and accompaniment pairings. I’ll try to get a post here on the blog soon with several of our favorite combinations.
