The Triple Threat Treat

Okay, so this One-Ingredient Banana Ice Cream isn’t exactly ice cream. It might just be better. Dairy-free, with no added sugars, and made with just simple, very ripe bananas, it’s healthy, delicious and so, so easy. A triple threat treat! It has a wonderful soft serve consistency when you first make it, which is so yummy. But if you want it to have a more scoopable consistency, just freeze it in a freezer-safe container for at least 2 hours. Let it set out of the freezer for about 5 minutes to soften a bit before scooping.

How to Make One Ingredient Banana Ice Cream

Line a baking sheet with parchment paper. Slice the bananas into 1/2-inch slices and lay flat on the parchment-lined baking sheet. Place in the freezer for at least 1 and 1/2 hours or overnight.

Remove frozen bananas from the freezer and let set out for about 5 minutes while you set up your food processor. You want the bananas to soften just a bit, but still be frozen.

Place the bananas in the food processor and pulse/blend until smooth and creamy. The bananas will look crumbly at first, but just keep pulsing and blending until it becomes smooth, scrapping down the sides of the processor or blender as necessary.
