I love to put out a dessert dip when we have friends over for after dinner drinks or for a casual hangout. A banana pudding dip, skillet s’mores dip or an easy chocolate fondue are always favorites. And this chocolate cheesecake dip might be the easiest so far.
Surrounded by cookies, salty snacks and fruit, it makes for such an eye-catching dessert. It’s so smooth, creamy and rich. Everyone will be head over heels at first bite.
Ingredients and Supplies

Ingredients:
- Cream cheese, softened
- Powdered sugar (confectioner’s sugar)
- Pure vanilla extract
- Dark chocolate chips
- Mini chocolate chips, for garnishing
- Dippers such as strawberries, graham crackers, pretzel crisps, thin chocolate chip cookies and rolled chocolate wafer cookie sticks
Supplies:
- Stand mixer fitted with paddle attachment (or hand mixer)
- Small microwave-safe bowl
- Serving platter or food board
How to Make Chocolate Cheesecake Dip
- In the bowl of a stand mixer fitted with the paddle attachment, beat the cream cheese and powdered sugar on low speed, increasing to medium speed, until well combined. (You can also use a hand mixer.)
- Beat in the vanilla.
- In a small microwave-safe bowl, heat the chocolate chips in 30-second intervals, stirring after each interval, until melted. Let cool slightly.
- Add the melted chocolate to the cream cheese mixture and beat on low speed until just combined, then on high speed until smooth. Cover and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes.
- Transfer to a serving bowl and place in the middle of a platter or board. Garnish the dip with mini chocolate chips.
- Surround the dip with strawberries, cookies and pretzels for dipping.
Storage
Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 5 days. Let set at room temperature for at least 10 minutes before dipping into it so it’s smooth enough.
