Blue Smoke is a surprisingly refreshing cocktail that combines mezcal and bourbon with the sweetness of blueberries to balance out the strong, smoky flavors of the spirits.
I’m so excited to share this cocktail recipe with you! It’s one of my absolute favorites. I would never have thought I would fall in love so much with a cocktail that has bourbon in it, but I did and I can’t get enough of it. I love mezcal and the way the strong bourbon flavor combines with the smokiness of it and the sweetness of the blueberry jam is so amazing!
With the tartness of lime juice and a little more sweetness from light agave syrup, it’s a well-balanced cocktail that always gets such rave reviews from those we enjoy it with.
It’s a must make even if you think you don’t like bourbon or mezcal. It just might surprise you!
- 1.5 ounces mezcal
- 0.5 ounce bourbon
- 0.5 ounce blueberry jam (1 tablespoon)
- 0.5 ounce lime juice
- 0.25 ounce light agave syrup
- Place all ingredients into a cocktail shaker. Add ice and shake well. Double strain into a glass with a large ice cube. Garnish with fresh blueberries, if desired.
