Play in the Kitchen
The holidays are a great time to get creative in the kitchen. Serving a Charcuterie Wreath or my Ugly Sweater Charcuterie Board or these Bow-Tie Antipasto Bites to guests brings so much holiday spirit to our get-togethers.
And these snow globes are just so darn cute. Only a grinch could resist! With salami, fresh fruit, holiday-shaped cheeses and even a sweet little gingerbread man, it’s a delicious balance of flavors and textures.

Serving Tips!
- Great for holiday gatherings, place settings, or make-ahead snacks with serious wow-factor.
- Let each person build their own globe. Just prep the components and let them “decorate”! You’ll love seeing all the creativity each person brings to their unique boards.

Ingredients and Supplies
(see recipe card at the bottom of this post for measurements and details)
Ingredients:
- Whipped cream cheese: serves as a base to anchor the other ingredients and looks like snow. Cream cheese works great because it’s neutral enough to compliment both the savory and the sweets deliciously, but you could use a whipped goat cheese, brie, or ricotta, if desired.
- White cheddar cheese: for the star, tree, and triangle cheese shapes. Just make sure the cheese slices are thick enough to hold their shape once cut and stay up right on the cream cheese.
- Snowman-Shaped Ritz Holiday Crackers: these Town House Snowmen crackers are a cute option too!
- Tree-Shaped Ritz Holiday Crackers: (see above for another option)
- Gingerman Minis: most grocery stores carry a mini gingerbread man shaped cookie in the winter. Here are some additional options: Mini Gingerbread People Cookies from Trader Joe’s, Walker’s Gingerbread Men, Archway Holiday Gingerbread Man Cookies, Stauffers Iced Gingerbread Cookies, Gingerman Cookies (available at most major grocery stores)
- Red raspberries: bring color and sweet-tart flavor.
- Sliced salami: to make a small salami rose.
- Pimento stuffed green olives: bring the salty flavor to contrast with the sweet fruits.
- Pomegranate seeds: add a pop of color and a fun tart flavor.
- Small fresh rosemary sprigs: add a beautiful herby aroma and look like little evergreen trees.
- Grated parmesan cheese: create the effect of a snow-like dusting. If you don’t have or don’t like parmesan cheese, you could dust with a little powdered sugar instead.

How to Make Charcuterie Snow Globes
- Spread the whipped cream cheese evenly across the mini cake stand. This is your snowy “ground” for building the globe scene.
- Place the white cheddar triangle at the back edge of the cream cheese base and then the snowman and tree-shaped crackers in front of it. Position the Gingerman cookie in front of the crackers.
- Nestle the raspberries on opposite sides.
- Place the rolled salami toward the front along with the mini snowflake and tree cheese shapes.
- Position the two olives near the front. Scatter pomegranate seeds across the base like ornaments or berries in the snow.
- Stick the rosemary sprigs vertically into the whipped cream cheese so they resemble mini evergreen trees.
- Let it snow! Finish by dusting the entire scene lightly with grated parmesan cheese to mimic freshly fallen snow.
- Carefully place the dome lid over the scene. Serve immediately or refrigerate until ready to display. These are best served within a few hours.
