Toss handfuls of your favorite pantry snacks in a big bowl with fresh popped popcorn and you’ve got a quick, tasty Pantry Popcorn Mix that’s perfect for movie night, birthday parties or any occasion!

Pantry Popcorn Mix

The boys are so excited to share their absolute favorite rainy day/movie night/or anytime I’ll let them make it Pantry Popcorn Mix with you! It’s so easy that they pretty much make it themselves with a little mama monitoring, especially when it comes to how many handfuls of M&M’s they toss in. 😉

The moment I give them the okay that we can make it, they’ve got the pantry doors open and are assembly-line passing their favorite snacks to the kitchen counter. It’s pretty cute how excited they get about making this popcorn mix! They’ll each yell out their favorite snacks to make sure they’re all included in the mix and then they negotiate who gets to put which snack in the bowl with the popcorn.

Pantry Popcorn Mix

They, of course, have to try one of each snack as they’re tossing it in for quality assurance purposes, I assume. 😉

Once all the snacks are in the bowl, we just toss it all together with the popcorn and start serving it into bowls to carry to the couch for a movie or to the table for some puzzle or game time. It’s a family favorite that’s become a fun tradition to make for special occasions.

Pantry Popcorn Mix

We’ve made this mix for a neighborhood block party, a baby shower, a birthday party, you name the occasion, it’s always a huge it. It’s so fun and full of yummy yum yum!

Pantry Popcorn Mix

Each time I post a picture on Instagram of us making this Pantry Popcorn Mix, I get lots of comments and messages asking what all we put in it and how we make it. It’s super easy and the fun part is that you can make it your own. Feel free to replace any of the snacks we’ve used with your favorite pantry snacks or add additional snacks if your bowl is big enough. Most of all, have fun making it and enjoy snacking away on it!

  1. We can’t wait to try this for our picnic tomorrow! Wondering for the popcorn if you add butter and salt? (I am not using microwave). Thanks!

  2. I was racking my brain for a quick and easy snack to bring to a small friend gathering and I am so glad to have stumbled upon this! Now I don’t have to worry about baking something and it not coming out right or buying something at the store! I just threw into mine: dark chocolate chips, raisins, coconut flakes, and organic gummy candies. I’ll have to get some more odds and ends to have on hand for next time, but for now it turned out like a movie snack mix! Hoping it goes over well 🙂
