My go-to charcuterie pantry staples make entertaining a snap. With the right ingredients on hand, you can throw together a satisfying and stunning charcuterie board for an impressive appetizer or snack.
Creating a Balanced Snack Board
A well-balanced charcuterie board offers a great variety of salty, sweet and savory flavors along with crunchy, chewy and creamy textures for everyone to enjoy. The flavors and textures that each ingredient bring to a board is what really pulls it all together for a delicious and memorable experience. For more, check out my board building and serving tips. I like to buy pantry essentials in bulk or when they’re on sale so I always have what I need without last-minute, expensive shopping trips.
My favorite places to stock up on charcuterie accompaniments for our pantry are Trader Joe’s, Central Market and Costco. All of these locations have such a great selection of classic accompaniments like salted marcona almonds, dried apricots, and fig jam while also offering such a fun selection of inventive items like sesame honey cashews, blue cheese stuffed olives, and rosemary parmesan crackers.

Shelf Stable Charcuterie Ingredients
Having shelf-stable staples like crackers, nuts, dried fruits, and spreads allows you to put together a beautiful charcuterie board at a moment’s notice. You’re always ready to serve something satisfying without a lot of stress. Just add fresh cheeses, meats, fruits, or veggies for an amazing board grazing experience.
Many of these accompaniments (like jams, nuts, dried fruit, and olives) have a long shelf life, making them a low-maintenance investment. You can stock up without worrying about them spoiling too fast. Here are the staples I keep stocked in my pantry.
