This easy Single-Serve Microwave Chocolate Chip Cookie is warm, soft, and gooey! Made with simple ingredients in just 5 minutes, no oven needed!

Ingredients

  • 1 tablespoon unsalted butter
  • 1 tablespoon light brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon granulated sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • Pinch of salt
  • 1 large egg yolk
  • 3 tablespoons all-purpose flour
  • 1/8 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 tablespoon chocolate chips

For serving (optional)

  • Flaky sea salt

Instructions

  1. In an 8-ounce microwave-safe ramekin, microwave the butter for 15–20 seconds, or until just melted.
  2. Stir in the brown sugar, granulated sugar, vanilla, salt, and egg yolk until smooth.
  3. Add the flour and baking powder and stir until well combined.
  4. Fold in the chocolate chips and spread the dough into an even layer.
  5. Microwave for 45–60 seconds, until the edges are set and the center is still slightly soft.
  6. Let cool for 1–2 minutes before enjoying.
  7. Sprinkle with a pinch of flaky sea salt, if desired. Serve warm on its own or with a scoop of vanilla ice cream or whipped cream.
