Description

Move over, turkey! Serve up Honey Herb Roasted Chicken Drumsticks for an easy, attractive and delicious main dish for your Friendsgiving dinner. With fresh herbs and golden honey, these drumsticks can’t be beat!

Ingredients

Drumsticks:

  • 8 chicken drumsticks
  • 2 tablespoons chopped fresh oregano
  • 2 tablespoons chopped fresh thyme
  • 2 tablespoons chopped fresh rosemary
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 teaspoon kosher salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted

Glaze:

  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 2 tablespoons honey

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 450°F. Spray a rimmed baking sheet with nonstick cooking spray and set aside.
  2. In a small bowl, stir together the oregano, thyme, rosemary, paprika, salt and pepper.
  3. Pat the drumsticks dry with paper towels. Place on the prepared baking sheet.
  4. Brush them all over with 1/4 cup melted butter and then rub evenly with the seasoning mix.
  5. Roast uncovered for 10 minutes, until the skin is browned.
  6. Meanwhile whisk together 1/4 cup melted butter and 2 tablespoons honey for the glaze.
  7. Remove the drumsticks from the oven. Turn the oven to 350°F.
  8. Brush the drumsticks with half of the glaze and return to the oven to roast for 15 minutes.
  9. Remove and brush with the remaining glaze. Let continue roasting for another 15 minutes or until an instant-read thermometer registers 165°F and juices run clear when pierced with a fork.
  10. Allow to rest for 10 minutes before serving to allow the juices to redistribute and settle.
