Description

My Easy Chocolate Fondue recipe transforms even the most basic snack into chocolate-dipped bliss. Five simple ingredients are all it takes to make sweet treats sweeter or elevate your salty snacks to a whole new level.

Ingredients

  • 2 and ½ cups chocolate chips (combination of semi-sweet, bittersweet and/or milk)
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • ¼ teaspoon kosher salt

Dipping Ideas

  • marshmallows
  • rice krispie treats
  • chocolate chip cookies
  • strawberries
  • cubed pound cake
  • pretzel sticks
  • graham crackers
  • angel food cake
  • bananas
  • apples
  • orange slices
  • kiwi
  • potato chips

Instructions

  1. In a heavy saucepan over low heat, melt the chocolate chips with the milk and heavy cream, stirring often, until the chocolate is completely melted and the mixture is smooth. Don’t let it come to a boil or the chocolate will burn and become clumpy. Once melted, stir in the vanilla extract and salt.
  2. If the fondue starts to thicken, stir in a tablespoon of milk at a time until dipping consistency.
  3. Pour the mixture into a fondue pot or small slow cooker to keep warm over low heat while serving.
