Ingredients
- 3 chocolate hazelnut rolled wafer sticks, cut in half
- 8 red and green M&M chocolate chip cookies
- 9 crushed peppermint white chocolate coated sandwich (I get these in season at Target or Trader Joe’s)
- 5 peanut butter kiss cookies (recipe in Spectacular Spreads page 218)
- 6 chocolate covered peanut butter bars (I got these at Trader Joe’s)
- 8 chewy gingerdoodle cookies
- 5 caramel filled chocolate cookies (I get these in season at Target or Trader Joe’s)
- 3 gingerbread people cookies (I get these in season at Target or Trader Joe’s)
- 7 decorated star-shaped sugar cookies
Instructions
- Starting at center of the bottom of a rectangular wood board (about 18”x 12”), stack the chocolate rolled wafer stick halves for the tree trunk.
- Layer the M&M chocolate chip cookies in a line just above the wafer sticks, from one side of the board to the other.
- Continue creating lines of cookies in the following order so that each line is slightly shorter than the one below it to create the Christmas tree shape: crushed peppermint white chocolate coated cookies, peanut butter chocolate kiss cookies, chocolate covered peanut butter bars, snickerdoodle cookies, caramel filled chocolate cookies and gingerbread people cookies.
- Place a large decorated star-shaped sugar cookie at the top of the board, just above the gingerbread people cookies, as the tree topper.
- Arrange any remaining star-shaped sugar cookie around the tree.
- Serve and ENJOY!
