Description

An Italian twist on an American favorite, my Cheesy Garlic Bread Hot Dogs bake up with melting mozzarella cheese, Italian seasoning, and a garlic bread bun that’s irresistible!

Ingredients

  • 8 top-slice hot dog buns
  • 4 tablespoons butter, melted
  • 1 teaspoon garlic salt
  • 8 hot dogs
  • 1 and 1/4 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/4 cup grated parmesan cheese
  • 1-2 teaspoons Italian seasoning
  • Chopped fresh parsley, for garnishing
  • Marinara sauce, for serving

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F. Line a 17×12-inch sheet pan with parchment paper.
  2. Open and arrange buns on the sheet pan.
  3. Stir garlic salt into the melted butter and brush over the insides and tops of the buns. Place the sheet pan in the oven and bake the buns for 8 minutes to toast the inside of the buns a bit.
  4. Remove the buns from the oven and place a hot dog in each buttered bun.
  5. Sprinkle some mozzarella and parmesan over each hot dog.
  6. Sprinkle the cheese on each hot dog with a pinch of Italian seasoning.
  7. Return to the oven and bake another 10-12 minutes or until cheese is melted and starting to turn golden brown in spots.
  8. Garnish with chopped fresh parsley, if desired.
  9. Serve with marinara sauce for dipping.
