Description

Layers of burrata, tomato and fresh basil topped with pesto, pistachios and lemon zest make this Burrata Caprese Dip a creamy, dreamy appetizer.


Ingredients

  • 8 ounces of fresh burrata cheese
  • 2 Roma tomatoes, thinly sliced (about 8 slices)
  • Flaky sea salt
  • Fresh ground black pepper
  • 2 tablespoons fresh squeezed lemon juice
  • 2 tablespoons good olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons prepared pesto
  • 1 tablespoon crushed pistachios
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried Italian seasoning
  • 1 teaspoon fresh lemon zest
  • 8 small fresh basil leaves
  • crostini, for serving

Instructions

  1. Pull the burrata cheese apart into several pieces and place it on a serving plate.
  2. Arrange the tomato slices on top of the burrata.
  3. Generously sprinkle all over with salt and pepper.
  4. Drizzle the lemon juice and the olive oil over the burrata and tomatoes.
  5. Dollop the pesto in several places over the burrata.
  6. Sprinkle with crushed pistachios, dried Italian seasoning and lemon zest.
  7. Top with basil leaves.
  8. Serve with crostini.
