Layers of burrata, tomato and fresh basil topped with pesto, pistachios and lemon zest make this Burrata Caprese Dip a creamy, dreamy appetizer.
Ingredients
- 8 ounces of fresh burrata cheese
- 2 Roma tomatoes, thinly sliced (about 8 slices)
- Flaky sea salt
- Fresh ground black pepper
- 2 tablespoons fresh squeezed lemon juice
- 2 tablespoons good olive oil
- 2 tablespoons prepared pesto
- 1 tablespoon crushed pistachios
- 1/2 teaspoon dried Italian seasoning
- 1 teaspoon fresh lemon zest
- 8 small fresh basil leaves
- crostini, for serving
Instructions
- Pull the burrata cheese apart into several pieces and place it on a serving plate.
- Arrange the tomato slices on top of the burrata.
- Generously sprinkle all over with salt and pepper.
- Drizzle the lemon juice and the olive oil over the burrata and tomatoes.
- Dollop the pesto in several places over the burrata.
- Sprinkle with crushed pistachios, dried Italian seasoning and lemon zest.
- Top with basil leaves.
- Serve with crostini.
