Description

Finely chopped fresh onion, tomato and jalapeños seasoned with salt, lime juice and cilantro give this no-frills Classic Pico de Gallo unbeatable flavor and texture.


Ingredients

  • 1 cup diced Roma tomatoes
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 1 small jalapeño, seeded and minced
  • 1/4 cup diced white onion
  • 1 tablespoon fresh lime juice
  • 2 tablespoons chopped fresh cilantro
  • 1/2 teaspoon kosher salt, plus more if needed
  • 1/4 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper, plus more if needed

Instructions

  1. In a medium mixing bowl, combine the tomatoes, garlic, jalapeño, white onion, and lime juice. Gently fold in the chopped cilantro.
  1. Season with the salt and black pepper, and adjust to taste. Store in the refrigerator until ready to serve.
