Description

With naturally sweet strawberries and chocolate candy coating, these Heart-Shaped Chocolate Covered Strawberries are a scrumptious Valentines’ Day Treat you’ll love to share.

Ingredients

Instructions

  1. Wash and dry the strawberries. Using a small, sharp knife, cut a small V-shape slice into the top center of each strawberry, removing the stem.
  2. Melt the wafers according to package directions in deep bowls or jars for dipping. Whisk a few drops of the pink gel food coloring to the melt white wafers until of desired pinkness.
  3. Using a fondue fork, skewer, or regular fork inserted into the bottom of the strawberry, dip into the melted wafers and let any excess drip off.
  4. Transfer dipped strawberries to a parchment-lined sheet pan and decorate accordingly with a chocolate or pink drizzle or festive sprinkles. If wanting to drizzle the melted wafers, transfer some to a plastic baggie and cut off a small triangle from the bottom corner of the bag to make it easier to drizzle evenly.
  5. Let set at room temperature until the chocolate is set.
  6. Store chocolate covered strawberries in a single layer, covered loosely for air circulation so they don’t sweat, in the refrigerator for 2-3 days.
