Description

Chicken nuggets smothered in marinara sauce and melting cheese on buttery Hawaiian rolls make these Easy Chicken Parmesan Sliders the perfect solution to feeding a crowd deliciously.

Ingredients

  • 12 larger frozen chicken nuggets
  • 12 Hawaiian sweet rolls
  • 1 cup thick marinara sauce (or pizza sauce)
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella and parmesan cheese blend (or any Italian cheese blend with mozzarella and parmesan in it)
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic salt
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning

Instructions

  1. Cook chicken nuggets according to package directions.
  2. Remove and heat oven to 350°F.
  3. Slice sweet rolls in half and place them a few inches apart on a parchment-lined sheet pan.
  4. Open each roll so the insides are facing up. Spread a thin layer of sauce on the inside of the bottom half and top half of each roll.
  5. Place a cooked chicken nugget on the bottom half of each roll. Top each chicken nugget with a little sauce and then a heaping tablespoon of the shredded cheese blend.
  6. Place the top halves of each roll back on top so that it sits evenly over the cheese on the chicken nugget.
  7. Melt the butter in a small bowl. Whisk in the garlic salt and Italian seasoning.
  8. Brush the top of each roll generously with the seasoned butter mixture.
  9. Bake on the middle rack of the oven until the cheese is melted and the rolls are starting to toast on top, about 10-15 minutes.

Notes

Note: If you can only find smaller chicken nuggets, place two on each roll so the bottom half of the roll is mostly covered in chicken nugget.
