Description

Salty pretzels, chewy caramel bits and a blend of cinnamon sugar cereals all covered in a caramel sauce and a cinnamons sugar finish make this Churro Snack Mix impossible to put down.

Ingredients

Ingredients:

  • 2 cups Cinnamon Chex cereal
  • 2 cups Cinnamon Toast Crunch cereal
  • 2 cups Cinnamon Oat Crunch Cheerios
  • 2 cups pretzel sticks
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1/2 cup light brown sugar, packed
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • Pinch of Kosher salt
  • 1/2 cup caramel bits

Cinnamon Sugar Finish:

  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 300°F. Line a large rimmed baking sheet with parchment paper or spray with non-stick cooking spray.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, mix together the Cinnamon Chex, Cinnamon Toast Crunch, Cinnamon Cheerios, and pretzel sticks.
  3. In a small saucepan (or microwave-safe bowl), melt the butter with the brown sugar and salt, stirring until smooth and slightly thickened (about 60-90 seconds if microwaving).
  4. Remove from heat and stir in vanilla extract.
  5. Pour the caramel-butter mixture over the cereal and pretzels. Stir gently until everything is evenly coated.
  6. Spread the mix in an even layer on the prepared baking sheet. Bake for 20 minutes, stirring halfway through.
  7. Remove from the oven and let cool for about 3–5 minutes, until warm but not hot.
  8. In a small bowl, combine the granulated sugar and cinnamon.
  9. Sprinkle the mixture with the caramel bits and the cinnamon sugar mixture. Toss gently until everything is coated in that churro-style sparkle.
  10. Let it cool on the pan until crisp and caramelized. Once fully cool, break apart and store in an airtight container for up to 1 week.
