Description

Cocoa Krispies cereal, gooey marshmallows and rich peanut butter come together in these irresistible no-bake Chocolate Peanut Butter Rice Krispies Treats.


Ingredients

  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 1 cup creamy peanut butter, plus 2 tablespoons more for drizzling on top
  • 1 (10 ounce) bag mini marshmallows (about 5 cups), divided
  • 4 cups Cocoa Krispies cereal

Instructions

  1. Spray an 8-inch square baking dish with non-stick cooking spray and line with parchment paper. Set aside.
  2. In a medium saucepan over low heat, melt 2 tablespoons butter and 1 cup peanut butter. Add 4 cups of the miniature marshmallows and stir continuously until completely melted.
  3. Remove from heat and immediately stir in the 4 cups of cereal until well combined. Fold in the remaining 1 cup miniature marshmallows until distributed and swirled throughout.
  4. Using more parchment paper, press mixture evenly into the prepared baking dish.
  5. Barely melt the remaining 2 tablespoons of peanut butter until of drizzling consistency and then drizzle over the top of the cereal mixture.
  6. Let set at room temperature until completely cooled and firm, at least 30 minutes. Lift treats from the baking dish and use a sharp knife to cut into squares.
