Description
Cocoa Krispies cereal, gooey marshmallows and rich peanut butter come together in these irresistible no-bake Chocolate Peanut Butter Rice Krispies Treats.
Ingredients
- 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
- 1 cup creamy peanut butter, plus 2 tablespoons more for drizzling on top
- 1 (10 ounce) bag mini marshmallows (about 5 cups), divided
- 4 cups Cocoa Krispies cereal
Instructions
- Spray an 8-inch square baking dish with non-stick cooking spray and line with parchment paper. Set aside.
- In a medium saucepan over low heat, melt 2 tablespoons butter and 1 cup peanut butter. Add 4 cups of the miniature marshmallows and stir continuously until completely melted.
- Remove from heat and immediately stir in the 4 cups of cereal until well combined. Fold in the remaining 1 cup miniature marshmallows until distributed and swirled throughout.
- Using more parchment paper, press mixture evenly into the prepared baking dish.
- Barely melt the remaining 2 tablespoons of peanut butter until of drizzling consistency and then drizzle over the top of the cereal mixture.
- Let set at room temperature until completely cooled and firm, at least 30 minutes. Lift treats from the baking dish and use a sharp knife to cut into squares.
