Description

From my Brilliant Bites Cookbook, farfalle pasta, olives, salami and cheese in their party best make my Bow-Tie Antipasto Bites a fabulous addition to any special occasion.


Ingredients

  • 40 pieces farfalle “bow-tie” pasta
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic salt
  • 1 teaspoon dried Italian seasoning
  • 1 block (7 ounces) aged white Cheddar (about a 3.5-inch square)
  • 20 large pimiento-stuffed green olives
  • 20 large pitted whole black olives
  • 40 peppered salami slices

Supplies:

  • 40 decorative food picks


Instructions

  1. Cook the pasta to al dente according to the package directions. Drain and let dry, then toss with the olive oil, garlic salt, and Italian seasoning.
  2. Slice the cheese into forty 3/4-inch blocks that are 1/2-inch thick.
  3. To assemble, on a food pick, place a piece of bow-tie pasta, an olive (either green or black), a folded slice of salami, and a small block of cheese. Repeat with the remaining ingredients.
