I think some of the best boards I create are the ones where each person gets to make their own meal, or in this case drink, from the delicious selection on it. It’s such a fun way to serve and really excites everyone around it. This Make-Your-Own Margarita Board is a dream come true for this margarita-loving mama and everyone we’ve enjoyed it with! Whether it be Cinco de Mayo, National Margarita Day (February 21st), Taco Tuesday, Margarita Monday or a Fiesta Friday with friends, this board is so perfect for so many occasions!

Let everyone mix their margaritas just the way they want with a variety of tequilas, mixers and garnishes. Pick and choose ingredients you know you and your crew would enjoy or want to try!  I used Don Julio tequila, Cointreau, lime juice, pomegranate juice, mango purée, avocado-cilantro purée, fresh cilantro, jalapeño, avocado, cucumber, pineapple, watermelon, mango, blood oranges, raspberries and agave.

Building the board is so simple. Let me show you how…

I built this board on my favorite 24″ x 18″ walnut wood board. It’s the perfect size to fit the bottles and all the mixers and garnishes on.

Start by pouring the juices into small carafes and placing them on the board.

Put some diced watermelon, mango, cucumber, pineapple and avocado in small serving bowls down the right side of the board.

Place bottles of tequila and a bottle of Cointreau orange liqueur in the top left corner of the board.

Put a bowl filled with mango-jalapeño salsa, or your favorite salsa, near the bottom left corner of the board and surround it with chips so your guests can snack on it while making their margaritas.

Fill in the board with sliced jalapeños, pineapple triangles, blood orange slices and wedges, lime slices and wedges, cilantro, and raspberries. All so great for making your margarita all the more marvelous!

Place glasses alongside the board along with a bucket of ice and shaker tin so each person can make their own margarita.
