A warm gooey brownie is awesome and all, but have you ever tried a frozen brownie?! If not, you must! They’re incredible (& addicting)!

I’ve been freezing little bites of brownie for years now and I honestly cry if I go to the freezer to get a handful and there aren’t any in there. I’ve learned the hard way, so I pretty much keep our freezer stocked at all times because nobody wants to see me cry. 😉

This is more of a how-to than a recipe, but one that I just have to share because I’m obsessed and feel that all my fellow brownie lovers would love these too!

I use my one-bowl fudge brownie recipe most often to make these frozen brownie bites, but any flavored brownie would work great. We’ll usually eat half the batch of brownies freshly baked and then I’ll break up the rest of the batch (or just the edges sometimes or just a few of them if that’s all we have left) to put in the freezer for a handy and delicious sweet treat anytime.

I freeze them in a single layer on a sheet pan for a few hours first and then transfer them to a freezer-safe sealed container to store long term. They’ll last in the freezer for weeks, but honestly ours never stay in there that long because we can’t get enough of them. 😉

These frozen brownie bites are my absolute favorite late-night treat. They’re cold yet chewy and will most certainly curb that chocolate craving. Snackalicious!

Besides snacking on them as is, I’ll sometimes sprinkle them over ice cream or mix them into a homemade blizzard. Oh my yum!

Description

Little bites of frozen brownie bliss waiting in the freezer to curb those late night chocolate cravings!

Ingredients

  • Baked Brownies (I’ll bake a batch of one-bowl fudge brownies and use half the batch, or just the edges, or however many we have left to make these frozen brownie bites)

Instructions

  1. Cut or break-up baked brownies into little bite-sized pieces. Lay in a single layer on a parchment-lined baking sheet. Place the baking sheet in the freezer for 2 hours. Transfer the frozen brownie bites to a freezer-safe sealed container and store in the freezer.

  2. My brownies where so hard even after microwave and ice cream made them harder should I just not freeze brownies I don’t think I’m doing something right thanks

  3. I have a restaurant and want to know if these brownie bites will stay together if I drop them in the deep fryer directly from the freezer.

    1. Hi Andy! I couldn’t say for sure as I’ve never tried it. Certainly worth a try though. I hope they turn out great!

  4. Hello Maegan,
    This recipe looks delicious!
I was wondering whether they have to be bite size? I was considering making an ice cream cake and putting this mixture inside. Do you think that would work?
    Many thanks
    Mary

    1. Hi Mary! That’s such a great idea! Nope, they don’t have to be bite-sized. Frozen brownies are yummy yum no matter the shape/size. I just like mine bite-sized! 😉 Enjoy!
